General Purpose Controller: COMPASS
The Compass controller (COmplex Multi-Purpose Acquisition/Stimulation System) is intended to be a general-purpose computational unit for automotive 12V applications (chassis mounted, with maximum ambient temperature of 85°C).
In order to deploy all its functionalities in an automotive environment, the Compass Module has been designed to provide considerable processing power through a multi-core platform, to include the state-of-the-art safety architectural solutions and to be fitted in a small and robust case.
Example of use are as “energy supervisor” for EVs (Energy Management System), or as Vehicle Control Unit in both EVs and ICE vehicles.

Compass mechanical housing has an aluminium base plate acting as a heatsink. The mechanical housing has been designed to fulfil the following characteristics:
