V Model
Our development process
The development process adopted by I&M is modelled after the A-SPICE and ISO 26262 V-models:
- in the descending part of the V, requirements are analysed, decomposed at subsystem and component level, then the HW/SW design is carried out to fulfil them; dedicated test cases are prepared, while multi-level check procedures track and correct issues that may arise during the design process;
- in the ascending part of the V, test cases are applied, results collected and proper actions taken in case of discrepancies with respect of expected results;
- the documentation is organized according to the ISO 9001 guidelines and is structured in standard folders.
Requirements, tests and issues to be corrected are traced and linked using dedicated tools.
Quality
Ideas & Motion achieved UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification from TÜV SÜD, an internationally recognized standard that validates the Company’s commitment to quality and reliability through well-structured development processes and a robust quality management system. This certification highlights the Company’s dedication to delivering high-quality products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to industry best practices – objectives clearly outlined in the Company’s Quality Policy. With UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, Ideas & Motion continuously strives for improvement, placing quality, transparency and reliability at the core of its operations:
- at management level risks, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses are evaluated every year to produce an improvement plan fully aware of the values of the Company and its competitors;
- at operative level Quality concepts are applied to all relevant company processes to ensure robust design and customer satisfaction, while maintaining a practical approach in order to minimize the overhead and be well integrated with existing core processes;
- all the personnel – including administrative people – is aware of and constantly applying Quality driven procedures to minimize errors and oversights;
- we value people by celebrating diversity, treating others with respect, and putting safety, inclusion, and integrity at the heart of everything we do.

Requirements, tests and issues to be addressed are traced and linked using a dedicated Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool.
Sustainability
Ideas & Motion was assessed by EcoVadis in the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. In January 2024, the company was awarded the Bronze Medal and improved its rating to the Silver Medal in February 2025:
